Week 3 Reflection
I wish that I would have talked with Lisa a week ago since she just told me how to add a sticky note to my igoogle page 2 minutes ago. I told myself to start a journal of activities and sites that I have ventured in and out of the last week. I will attempt to remember all of the things that I have down since last Wednesday's class. Before we were given week 3's thread, I printed the class notes, 3-25-09, and took a closer look at them. Since I am a pretty concrete learning, I decided to start at the very first website mentioned on the notes and go from there. The online readings were interesting, but I basically read them and moved on. I spent a bit of time on twitter, facebook(too much time!), and bloglines. I am still a little leary about twitter so i didn't spend a whole lot of time there. I did however, spend alot of time on facebook. I now have 3 college buddies, 2 baseball buddies, and 5 out of state relatives that are now my "friends". It is pretty neat, but time consuming! I signed up for bloglines.com just to see what is has to offer. This seems like a more popular site than the blogspot.com sites that we all have. Whenever I want to "share" a video or document I can never find our blogspot site, but blogline comes up. I did also check out oddcast.com and found it pretty cool and funny. Once again I spent alot of time on this site just playing. Then I tried to download a whiteboard from scriblink, but it was taking forever and I decided to moeve on. Another downloading difficuluty I had this week was that website from classroom 2.0 live; podcast. Elluminate something or other was taking forever to pop-up and when it did I only got the audio version of the clip. GRRR!!! I decided a different route to learning about podcasting and didn't have a whole lot of luck. I embedded a youtube clip onto my blog page and titled it. Did NOT understand what this dude was talking about! My last attempt of this week anyway, was to go to gcast.com and give that podcast education a shot. I registered and then got nowhere. I feel so stupid with this podcast stuff. I am a visual/hands-on learner and sometimes the e-learning is not my style! I even tried a nasa.gov website was intended for kids to get started podcasting. Yep, no luck again. I have not completed all of the article readings yet for the week, but I wanted to jog a majority of what I did this week before I forget. I am sure that I forgot a couple items that way it was.
